The Principle Of Hijab

The Principle Of Hijab

There are various hijab. It does not mean to cover the body with a cloth. Hijab, the command of which is heart is controlled by the core. The head operates with instruction given to the brain. The government rules with khair (good) if it is good or shar (bad) if it is bad. The good governors and intellectuals serve welfare to people. The foot takes the step not for abusing the honor or offending the others’ but protecting the honor and personality. The principal of hijab will be shown by covering faults of people. Hz. Isa (pbuh) asked his disciples that “what would you do if one’s blanket moves away while sleeping?” they answered as “we cover it”. The Isa (pbuh) said “No, you move it away. You offend one who has a fault by telling others”. Allah grants such a curtain for eyes that we are unable to describe it. What a mystery my Allah! There is eyelid to cover the mistakes and not to see the haram. Head does not embarrass anyone as it could turn to right and left. We do not embarrass anyone when we act as if deaf and blind. Hatem-i Esam (k.s.) did not embarrass a woman coming to ask a question by acting as if she is deaf to cover the woman’s fault because of a human need. It could be the best example that Hz. Yusuf (pbuh) said to his brothers attempted homicide about spiritual hijab: “Yusuf (pbuh) said: There is no reproach on you this day. May Allah forgive you and He is the Most Merciful of the merciful” (Yusuf, 92). The source of all beauties our Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is the best example for spiritual hijab with his sayings and life. Allah Ta’ala says : Take to pardon (make the pardoning a method for you) and rule with divine justice and turn aside from the ignorant (Araf,199), “Forgiveness with gracious, so overlook their faults and surely the Hour is coming (Hijr, 85)”, “Allah forgive the people and loves the good-doers” (Imran, 134), “But surely he who bears patiently and is forgiving -- surely that is true constancy (Shura, 43)”, During Battle of Uhud, when one of Prophet Mohammad’s (pbuh) teeth was broken and his face was covered with blood, Abdullah Ibni Mes’ud narrated: I could not forget the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) telling one of the Prophets kıssa. His people left this prophet when he was drenched in blood. During this, the Holy Prophet was cleaning the blood on his face and said “O Allah, forgive my people for they do not know”. Our prophet (sav) not only forgave his people for their evil manners but he prayed Allah for their forgiveness. HIJAB IN OUR HOLY RELIGION ISLAM “And say to the faithful women to lower their gazes, and to guard their private parts, and not to display their adornment except what is apparent of it, and to extend their head coverings (khimars) to cover their bosoms (jaybs)” (An-Nur, 31). O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful (Ahzab, 59). When Asma (r.a.) came with a thin cloth, our Holy Prophet (pbuh) did not look at her (Ebu Davud). “Asma! A girl protects her body except her hands and face from men when she grew enough to pray (Abu Dawud) Hz. Aisha said that “May Allah show mercy to the first immigrant women. When the hijab ayat came they tore their silk apron and covered their head” (Bukhari, Nesai). HIJAB IS AN OBLIGATION (FARDH) It was before the hijab ayat come that woman used to come to Mohammad (pbuh) for asking question and listening him. After the hijab verse came, woman and men did not sit together. Woman used to ask their questions get answers through Ezvac-ı Tahirat, our mothers. THE BODY LINE SHOULD NOT BE VISIBLE Mahmut Sami (k.s) used to inquire after the wife of Esad-ı Erbili (k.s.) from far away. She also answered with pleasure under a large cloth. The woman acting like a man and man acting like a woman are cursed. There is no age for hijab. When Sami (k.s.) saw a child with panties he used to say this. It is not permitted for woman –even they are old- to wear trousers. Abdullah Ibn Abbas (r.a.) told that: “Prophet Muhammad (sav) cursed the woman acting like a man and man acting like a woman”. It was said to Hz. Aisha: -‘A woman is wearing male shoes ’. Then Aisha (r.a.) said: -The Prophet (sav) cursed woman acting like a man! (Abu Dawud, 4099, Bukhari Fethu’l-Bari 10/333) Abu Hureyre (r.a.) narrated: “The prophet (sav) said: “Allah curses man wearing like a woman and woman wearing like a man (Ebu Davud 4/355, Albânî Sahihu’l-Cami 5071). It is also not permitted to wear thin clothes in our religion. The awrah of a man is between navel and kneepan which is accepted as the part of thigh. The Holy Prophet (sav) said: “The awrah of a man is between navel and kneepan” (Ahmad bin Hanbal) “Among my followers, silk and gold are forbidden for men” (Tirmidhi). In another hadith; Muhammad (sav) said: “those who wear it in this life shall not wear it in the Hereafter” (Bukhari). He (sav) used to love wearing white and green dress. As we cover our body with a cloth, we cover our parts of body with the revelation cloth. Our feet, covering with divine fear cloth do not set Muslims against each other. Our feet run for correction, true path, teblig and jihad. Our hand does not extend to the ill-gotten gains (harams) and seizure other’s good. Our stomach is nourished with halal foods. Our tangoe and honor are kept away from the hell fire with not failing to faults and mistakes. The eyes and ears act for the aim of creation. The brain and all brains come together and take decision to work for making Haq dominant over the world. The highest success in science and technology should be reached. The denominational and racial discrimination should be over. Terror and anarchy should be ended. The unity of Ummah should left its mark on this age against the unity of Kufr. Alemdar (Mayıs 2016)
