The Commerce

Healty Commerce: The heart should be healty and peaceful for commerce. Must be surrendered to divine powers, not to demonic powers. Because the customer for us is Allah SWT. “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise.” (Surat At-Tawba, 111)

The Goal Is Profit In Commerce: "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm." in our religion. Ja’far Al-Sadiq (Qaddase sirrahu) says “Sell yourself in exchange for Jamalullah, not in exchange for Paradise”. Those who know gain and profit, aspire the commerce pointed by Caliph Abu Bakr (Ra, May Allah Be Pleased With Him) “Oh Suhayb, get profitable exchange”. “And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allah. And Allah is kind to [His] servants.” (Surat Al-Baqarah, 207)

Shrewd Trader: “[Are] men whom neither commerce nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allah and performance of prayer and giving of zakah.” In 10th and 11th verses of Surat As-Saff, The way of beneficial trade is pointed. That is to surrender the life and properties to the owner (SWT) in the way of Allah SWT with perfect faith. The customer is Allah SWT, the dialer is muslim people, the things marketed are life and property , the profit is Paradise and Jamalullah (sight of Allah SWT).

The Limit In Profit: The extreme profit is also not acceptable. There is available only provision of work in both material and spiritual commerce. “And they will be called, "This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do." (Surat Al-Araf, 43)

Those Who Do Not Waste: In 29-30th verses of Surat Fatir, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out in the way of Allah SWT secretly and publicly. And those who reach to rewards and forgiveness in responce to their thanksgivings.

The Losers: Those who do not know essentials and rules of trade, can not be trader. In the 16th verse of Surat Al-Baqarah “Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance”. Those are who prefer disbelieve instead of faith, superstitious ideology instead of Islam, disobedience instead of obedience, bah habit instead of morality, are losers. Those who acquired illegally are losers. Our blessing prophet Mohamad (pbuh) says “Herald the hellfire them who get interest and do not give alms.

The sinking company gets rid of with the advises of Rasulullah (pbuh). He (pbuh) was inspecting to the bazaar. He (pbuh) passed by a pile of food and put his hand into it, and his fingers touched something wet. He (pbuh) said “He who deceives us is not one of us”. Imam Azam (ra) donated all the profit in a trade to the poors, because his partner had not properly said the price of the damaged fabric. Our Prophet (pbuh) says “Honest trader will be protected in the shadow of Allah’s SWT throne (Arsh) in the day of judgement”

There are seller and buyer, the good and word of selling in trade. These words are “I bought” and “I sold”. The good is perfect and beneficial. The goods should be sold by owner or by others with permission. The amount and qualification should be known. Should be avoided from cupidity and excessive ambition. The people who finds the profit insufficient, deprived from profit.

The awliyah have even investigated the reasons to provide lawful good. They have even acted responsible to the channels that have been dug by tyrants. Those are the steadfast affirmers of truth. Ebu’l Hasen Harakani (qs) does not eat the cocumber that growth up with the water from the source belong to another people. Those are who put out the candle because of the rights of inheritors, are righteouses. Those who do not block the road because an ambulance or a funeral coach can pass, are one of virtuous, pious and good peoples. Our ustaz Sheikh Haci Hassan (qs) had asked one’s blessing due to a given plastic zam zam water can, till to the last breath. Sheikh Sami Ramazanoglu (qs) had not given permission for shopping in the places where cigarettes sold. Even mufties give fatwa, those who ask to their peaceful, reassured heart are rightheouses. Every profession has science. Learning of shopping informations are fard and religious duties.
